

MyOCCU Online & Mobile
The Goal
OCCU wanted to deliver a superior digital banking experience that made managing money easier for their members, leading to a more satisfied and engaged membership.
The Strategy
Gaining insight from members and prospects into the most desirable traits of an online and mobile banking experience, as well as current pain points framed the requirements for the project. OCCU partnered with Alkami to develop the platform that met the needs of members immediately, while also scaling for the future feature deployment. Serving as an executive sponsor, I oversaw project management including nearly 60 team members that worked to successfully convert member data, develop integrations, and launch enablement resources of the new platforms for members and staff.
The Results
In May 2019, OCCU launched the new MyOCCU Online & Mobile digital banking platform. The data conversion achieved a success rate that both partners and regulators said was among the most successful they had seen. Call volume was expected to reach an increase of 300%, however only experienced an increase of 20%, which speaks to the intuitiveness of the platform developed and the quality of resources provided to members.
